High Focus Center in Farmington Now Open for Adolescent Treatment

Bringing more than 25 years of behavioral healthcare experience to the Harford County area, High Focus Centers in Farmington provides outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment services for adolescents. Adult treatment services will also be available at this location in the near future.

Our experienced clinical team uses evidence-based therapeutic treatment specifically designed to address the unique needs of teens experiencing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, trauma, and co-occurring substance use.

Flexible outpatient treatment options for teens at various levels of care

An alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step down from residential treatment, High Focus Centers’ Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed to provide treatment, therapy and support for adolescents diagnosed with mood disorders, anxiety symptoms, depression, isolation, and other mental health struggles. This structured program offers a high level of support without the need to stay overnight in an inpatient facility.

High Focus Centers’ Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides individuals with the opportunity to learn and implement coping strategies and process their experience in a therapeutic and supportive environment while living at home, attending school and/or working. This can be used as early intervention treatment for teens who have just started to show symptoms.

For teens diagnosed with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, High Focus Centers also offers a specialized IOP. Our co-occurring IOP uses both mental health and substance use treatment methods to help individuals recover from both disorders at the same time.

Incorporated into all our programming, High Focus Centers offers medication management as well as individual, family, and group therapy. This integrative approach is designed to provide rapid symptom improvement and help clients achieve a healthy level of functioning.
