Yoga at Hill-Stead with Sarah Wadsworth

You asked and we listened... Instructor Sarah Wadsworth will now lead drop-in Yoga classes on a regular basis at Hill-Stead starting this Saturday, March 17 at 10am. Bring your own mat and props for practice in the historic Makeshift Theater. All-Levels Yoga: Museum Members $18; Non-members $20 (cash at the door).

Additional dates, all at 10am, include:

  • March 17, 18 and 31
  • April 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29

 Shop the May Market Shrub Pre-Sale

Spring is coming, which means it's almost time for everyone's favorite benefit event, May Market on May 5 and 6. This year, The Hill-Steader volunteers have organized a shrub presale just for you! Get first dibs on a unique collection of specimen quality dwarf/compact shrubs, which have been selected for pollinator attraction, color and ease of care.

  • This selection of plants can only be purchased through the pre-sale!
  • Order deadline is April 9.
  • Purchases are available for pickup on Thursday, May 3 from 5-7pm and Friday, May 4 from 9am-2pm.

 Spring Egg Hunt at Hill-Stead

Farmington Community and Recreational Services’ 40th Annual Spring Egg Hunt will be held on March 24 at Hill-Stead Museum! This FREE event will feature musical entertainment by Sunny Train, spring crafts, bunny photos, and story times with the Hartford Yard Goats and Miss Connecticut Eliza Lynne Kanner!

Make calendar alerts for these three separate start times

  • Ages 0-2: 10:30am start
  • Ages 3-5: 10:45am start
  • Ages 6-10: 11:00am start

Although this free Egg Hunt is organized by the Town of Farmington, Hill-Stead Museum will be offering reduced museum admission and discounted new family memberships for all event attendees! Everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable donations for the Farmington Food Pantry. Visit the event page on Facebook here: 

Ballet Ball & Pink Party

Hill-Stead and Albano Ballet present two lively events for adults and families. On Saturday, March 24, The Ballet Ball features Albano Ballet performances, period ballroom dance lessons and a fabulous night out. On Sunday, March 25, kids and families are invited to Pink Party, featuring Albano Ballet performances and Degas-inspired art projects. Click below for complete information and tickets

 Rooms in Bloom!

Fragrant, fresh floral arrangements created by select designers will be on display in the historic rooms for two days only on April 7 & 8, from 10am – 4pm. Regular museum admission rates apply; Members are FREE. Register for the Rooms in Bloom Preview Party here
