The Farmington Garden Club has received two awards for their contribution to the restoration of the Farmington Village Green.
The first, The Virginia F. Thurston Landscape Design Award, was awarded by the New England Garden Clubs for a project using good design for public benefit and was accompanied by a $100 prize.
The second, the Lee Bauerfeld Beautification Award, from the Federated Garden Clubs of CT, was awarded for an outstanding civic project, that benefits the community both aesthetically and environmentally.
In addition, the Garden Club Committee members, Kathy Lindroth, Ann Mullen, Nancy Murray, Judith Staib, Sandy Goralnick, and Chair, Terry Roberts were presented Certificates of Individual Achievement for Civic Development. Congratulations to all!
