Author Luncheon Featuring L. Courtney Sullivan Sponsored by the Friends of Avon Free Public Library

The Friends of the Avon Free Public Library will sponsor their 13th Author Luncheon featuring The New York Times honored author, J. Courtney Sullivan, on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 11:30am - 2:30pm at the Farmington Polo Club located at 162 Town Farm Road, Farmington CT. Tickets for this event are $50 per person (price includes lunch, author talk and book signing; several of the author’s books will be available for purchase).

J. Courtney Sullivan is The New York Times bestselling author of the recently published novel, The Cliffs. She has also published the best-selling novels Maine, Saints for All Occasions, Friends and Strangers, The Engagements and Commencement. Her work has been translated into seventeen languages.
Sullivan grew up outside Boston, MA. She attended Smith College in Northampton, MA, where she majored in Victorian literature and received numerous awards in writing and literature. She graduated in 2003 and then moved to New York City where she began working at Allure. Sullivan later moved on to The New York Times, where she worked for four years. Her writing has since appeared in The New York Times Book Review, the Chicago Tribune, and New York Magazine, among many other publications. She now lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two children.
